HELAÜLOOM© is operated as described in these terms. By using the platform you agree to these terms.
Not legal advice. HELAÜLOOM organises and stores information. We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. Documents you store must still go through proper legal channels in your jurisdiction.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, for keeping your password and two factor authentication secure, and for naming appropriate nominees and trusted contacts.
Access model. Vault access after death flows through accepted unlock nominees, not through the People directory alone. Nominees may begin the unlock ceremony when the owner cannot. Two accepted nominees must confirm; a 72-hour grace period follows, during which owner sign-in cancels unlock. HELAÜLOOM does not verify death certificates, the ceremony is designed to balance family access with mistaken unlock protection.
Subscriptions. Paid plans renew monthly unless cancelled. Annual plans receive two months free where offered.
Merchant of record. Digital subscriptions are sold by HELAÜLOOM© as merchant of record. Tax may be collected at checkout where required. See our refunds policy and MoR programme.
API & software. Programmatic access is governed by our API terms and intellectual property policy.
Governing law & venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of HELAÜLOOM will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HELAÜLOOM© is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything the law does not allow us to limit.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold HELAÜLOOM© harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
Dispute resolution. Most concerns are best solved by emailing us directly, and we would rather work it out that way. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's rules, on an individual basis, not as a class action, and either side may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. If you would rather not agree to arbitration, you may opt out within 30 days of creating your account by emailing legal@helauloom.com; opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
